What's in the update?
New integration with SPSS 11.0
- This update adds the ability to invoke the SigmaPlot Graph Wizard directly from the SPSS environment
- adds 'SigmaPlot Graph' option to the SPSS Graph menu
- supports SPSS data import
- preserves SPSS Settings - preserves the SPSS settings for case selection, weighting, and the splitter variable while creating SigmaPlot graphs
- new "Indexed" data format (data arranged by categorical indexes) for error bar plots
- graphs added to SPSS Viewer, click to edit with SigmaPlot through OLE automation
After installing SPSS 11.0, download and execute the 7.101 update
Note to SigmaPlot v7.1 users:
We discovered a problem with the integration between SigmaPlot 2001 version 7.1 and SPSS 11.0. Any changes made to the SPSS active data file are saved to the original file when the SigmaPlot Graph menu item is selected. This is done without being echoed to the SPSS output window, so it is possible that data may be lost or overwritten unexpectedly. However, YOU MAY LOSE YOUR DATA if changes are made to a data file that is not saved prior to invoking SigmaPlot. The 7.101 patch update corrects this problem.
Additional capabilities
- True CMYK EPS export
- Full precision and date/time MS Excel copy and paste
- "Intersections" now supported for area fills
- Improved Graph Wizard: retains last settings, you can click Finish early, Gallery Graphs are listed
- New keyboard shortcuts in the Graph Properties dialog and most Excel keyboard shortcuts in worksheet
- Change font for worksheet
- New 'Insert Graph into MS Word' Toolbox macro
Inclusions from the V7.01 patch
- Occasionally when printing a large worksheet, SigmaPlot ran out of memory. We now have a more efficient way to handle fonts for worksheet printing allowing SigmaPlot to print very large worksheets.
- SigmaPlot could not open some sections of a notebook that were created by previous versions. This happened in rare cases with very complex notebooks. This incompatibility has been fixed.
- We updated the Help file with more complete instructions on configuring the EPS driver for EPS export on NT systems
